A Volvo javaslattételi pályázati felhívása globális környezetvédelmi díj 2025. évi odaítélése céljából, környezetvédelmi és fenntarthatósági tanulmányok és kezdeményezések elismerésére. A jelölés tárgyát képező tudományágak és tevékenységek köre minden, a környezetvédelemmel kapcsolatos tudományágra kiterjed. A díjazottak 1,5 millió SEK (kb. EUR 150.000) pénzjutalmat kapnak.

Laureates represent all fields of environmental and sustainability studies and initiatives.
The Prize is awarded annually and consists of a hand-crafted diploma, a glass sculpture and a cash award of SEK 1.5 million (approximately EUR 150,000 or USD 160,000). The award ceremony is held in Stockholm in November each year.
The span of disciplines and activities for which nominations can be made is wide and includes all disciplines which have relevance to the environment.
Nominations must include the following:
- A short letter of motivation.
- A detailed description of the research the nominee has conducted and how it adds to our knowledge around environmental science. Main achievements and their importance should be emphasized. Emphasis must also be placed on the impacts of the research outside of the particular discipline e.g. impacts on policy development, impacts on sustainability and/or contribution to changed behaviour.
- CV of the nominee + list of published paper/s and links if available.
- Letter/s of reference. Maximum 3 letters written by someone other than the nominator.
- Nominations should be submitted in English using the official form available at www.environment-prize.com. When not feasible, please contact the secretariat info@environment-prize.com
- When submitting nominations for a group of named individuals please send one nomination for each person (maximum 3 persons) and specify in the description of achievements that the nomination is for a shared prize.
- A nomination remains valid for three years.
- Please note that self-nominations are not accepted.
The International Prize Jury
- Dr. Sybille van den Hove
- Sybille van den Hove is Executive Director of Bridging for Sustainability, a small research and consulting company in Belgium.
- Professor Kazuhiko Takeuchi
- Kazuhiko Takeuchi is President of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and a Project Professor at the Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI), the University of Tokyo.
- Professor Mary Scholes
- Mary Scholes, a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, is currently a full professor in the School of Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences and serves as the Director of the Graduate Support Division at Wits.
- Professor Peijun Shi
- Peijun Shi is Executive Vice-President of Beijing Normal University. He was awarded his PhD in palaeogeography at Beijing Normal University and gained postdoctoral experience at the College of Natural Resources at the University of California in Berkeley, USA.
